Dana Point Harbor Boat Parade and Festive Family Activities

The Dana Harbor Boat Parade takes place on the 7th, 8th, 14th, and 15th of December. This year’s theme is “A Western Wonderland.” Boats with a country-western theme will be making their way into the harbor, all decked out with colorful lights. This event is bound to capture the imagination of those both old and young. You can watch this event free from any vantage point that you can find, or you can get a reservation at any of the excellent restaurants nearby with a view of the harbor. Seating is going fast.

Ho Ho Night Hike

How does a festive holiday hike sound? On December 8th, starting at 5:30 and going till 8:00 pm at Carbon Canyon Regional Park, park rangers will lead a group of intrepid explorers to a Redwood Grove that showcases some of the natural wonders the park has to offer that can only be seen after nightfall. There will be a visit to the Nature Center, as well as cookies and cocoa. There will also be a presentation with live animals. This unconventional holiday event is fun for older kids and adults.

Santa’s Wonderland

Bass Pro Shops presents Santa’s Wonderland, every day from now until December 24th. Head to the Rancho Cucamonga location for free photos with Santa, giveaways, crafts for the kids, and games with cool prizes. The fun starts every evening at 5 pm and goes till 8 pm. Bass Pro Shops wants to give back to the community, and this is their way of saying thanks for customer loyalty throughout the year.
