Here Are Some Fun Athletic Orange County Events

Do you feel the need to stretch those muscles and get limbered up this September? Never fear, we have some ideas for athletic Orange County events that are guaranteed to work up a cleansing sweat, and you’ll be surrounded by smiling faces too. Exercise releases endorphins, so boost your mood and do your body a favor also.

Social Hour Run Club

Get your running shoes on this Wednesday the 5th of September, as you take part in a three-mile jog around the Irvine Spectrum. This event takes place every Wednesday, and many people look forward to it as a way to burn off steam in the middle of the work week. This venue affords some gorgeous views as you work up a sweat alongside your fellow fitness aficionados. Also, you don’t need to be an Olympic level runner to take part. Any skill level is welcome.

Regrand Opening Yoga Celebration

Yoga is great for body and mind, and on Saturday, September 8th, you’ll have a chance to take part in a special complementary class out in the sunshine. The festivities take place directly outside the newly remodeled Irvine Spectrum. You can’t miss it; it’ll be on the lawn by the big wheel. Chelsey Lowe, from Ra Yoga, will be heading up the class, which is appropriate for all experience levels. Of all the events in the OC this week, this one is not to be missed, as you’ll have a chance to meet some warm and welcoming people while you align your chakras.

UFC 228 Viewing Party

Perhaps you’d prefer to watch an athletic event instead of taking part in one. If cheering from the sidelines is more your speed, you can head to Avenue Restaurant and Music Lounge in Anaheim for the UFC 228 Viewing Party. There’s a superb card of mixed martial arts action expected, as two title matches will headline. The undefeated Darren Till will battle champion Tyron Woodley in the main event for the Welterweight Championship, while Women’s Flyweight Champion Nicco Montana will have her hands full with challenger Valentina Shevchenko. There’s a full menu of tasty snacks to accompany all the bruising action, as well as a full bar and lots of drink specials.

That’s going to be it for another loaded week in the OC. This blog was brought to you by Toyota of Orange, the dealership that consistently does the most Orange auto sales.
