Shop For Used Cars At The Dealerships Serving Santa Ana, Then Head Out To One Of These Events

The youngsters in your family might feel neglected sometimes when they can’t attend the grown-up events. But there’s no reason that your kids can’t have a great day of activity that will stimulate their imaginations and hopefully tire them out as well. This is what’s on tap for October.

Carnival Colossus

From the 12th through the 15th of this month, the Carnival Colossus event takes over the Vista Hermosa Sports Park in San Clemente. On the 12th the focus is on rides and games for special needs children. The next three days there will be all kinds of kids-themed mayhem, including games, rides, and a food truck festival. On the 14th and 15th will be the popular Scottish Strength Games, sure to test the mettle of any who care to compete.

Legend of Boot Hill

If your kid is the sort that enjoys being scared, this event is an absolute must-see. Boot Hill in Irvine hosts this extravagant yard display, the likes of which you have surely never witnessed before. There is an entire story and mythology that goes along with this ultimate Halloween setup, and the hosts take pleasure in guiding you through it. It’s recommended for ages 8 and above, and it runs on Fridays and Saturdays from the 12th through the 28th. Admission is free, but donations are welcomed. All money received goes to the Children’s Hospital of Orange County.

The Haunt at Heritage Hill

Another epic haunted event, Heritage Hill Historical Park in Lake Forest is the setting for this spine-tingling two-night event. The 12th and 13th of October, the whole park is set up for a Halloween adventure with live participants in costumes whose job it is to scare the daylights out of whoever approaches. There are also music and game booths for those wanting a slightly tamer experience. Ages 12 and up are welcome, accompanied by a parent or guardian. Also, you can come in costume, but no masks or face paint are allowed for the guests.

Halloween is a unique part of Americana, and if you have a child that likes a good scare, this is a special time of year. Make some fun memories with them, Orange County parents, and as always, keep a close eye on them to ensure their safety.
