There Are Several Upcoming Events In The OC That The Whole Community Is Sure To Enjoy

There’s seldom a lack of things to do in the OC, and this upcoming week is no exception. Whether you’re into farmer’s markets or some out-of-this-world yoga, these events are sure to put a smile on your face. This first one is free to the public.

Orange County Great Park Farmer’s Market

This farmer’s market, hosted by Blue Botanicals, has two more dates left, this Sunday the 2nd of September and the following Sunday, the 9th. On Marine Way in Irvine you’ll be able to check out all sorts of fresh produce, as well as handcrafted artisanal products from many of the region’s most talented craftspeople. If you get hungry, there are many food trucks with mouth-watering delicacies, and you can even get some home gardening tips from UCCE Master Gardeners. This event is weather permitting, so check the forecast before you go.

Tastemakers of Orange County 2018

This coming Wednesday the 5th in Costa Mesa at the Segerstrom Center of the Arts is the annual Tastemakers of Orange County event, hosted by the Orange County Asian and Pacific Islander Community Alliance. This culinary event will feature some of the creations of distinguished Orange County chefs, and a limited number of tickets are still available. Bring your appetite, OC, as the restaurants featured this year include Shuck Oyster Bar, Tacklebox, the OC Baking Company, Bello, Break of Dawn, and Hamamori.

Glow and Flow Yoga

If your body and spirit need some aligning, it’s got to be Glow and Flow Yoga at Orange County Great Park. It’s this coming Friday, September the 7th, and this is by no means the traditional yoga experience. This party atmosphere is sure to ignite your weekend, as there will be groovy music and black lights to accompany your best Downward Facing Dog position. Wear white clothing and bring your yoga mat. Appropriate for novices and experienced practitioners. Ages sixteen and over, registration required beforehand.
