Be On the Lookout for These Upcoming Orange County Events

Do you feel the need to shake up your routine, OC residents? Maybe the time has come to check out some of these Orange County events taking place in February. Don’t worry about scouring the web. We’ve assembled some top picks for you this winter regardless of your interests.

Surf City USA Marathon and Half Marathon

In Huntington Beach this February over the weekend of the 1st through the 3rd, the Surf City USA Marathon and Half Marathon will be run, so slip into your running shoes and shorts and start training today.

The oceanfront course that accommodates the runners is as gorgeous as you’d ever hope to find, as you’ll be jogging past the Huntington Beach pier and through some of Southern California’s best beaches for surfing. Along the way, there will be retro surf bands playing for your enjoyment, and there will be a massive party at the finish line as well, taking place in a beachside beer garden. If you’re not up to trying the full marathon, then you can do the half version instead.

Annual Monarch Butterfly Day

The monarch butterfly is among the most lovely of all varieties, and this species gets their own celebratory day on Saturday, February 2nd at Mile Square Regional Park in Fountain Valley. Families and children can enjoy learning about these fascinating creatures in their natural habitat. The event is celebrating its tenth year, and there will be a balloon artist, face painting for the kids, crafts, and interpretive presentations. Recommended ages are 4 to 12.

Rotary/CARE Car Show

If you enjoy classic cars, then this is the Orange County event for which you’ve been waiting. On Saturday, February 2nd at the San Juan Capistrano Community Center there will be a display of more than 400 classic trucks and cars. There will also be a New Row section with the latest models from many different automakers. You’re encouraged to bring your dog, so many four-legged friends should be in attendance. There will also be lots of different ethnic food booths, so bring your appetite. This event raises money for Rotary charities and the Capistrano Animal Rescue.

Getting outside and having some fun should be on your agenda this February, and this lineup of events in Orange County should fit the bill. This blog comes to you from Toyota of Orange, bringing you an excellent selection of used cars for sale in Orange County.
