Get in The Holiday Spirit With Orange County Events Like The Capistrano Lights Nightly Program

Christmastime is officially upon us! That means heading to plenty of festive Orange County events to get your fill of Christmas cheer. There’s so much to love about the holiday season, from the delicious seasonal food and baked goods, the nostalgic smell of Christmas trees, gift-giving, beautiful decorations, and so much more! If one of your favorite parts is admiring all the twinkling lights, we have the perfect event for you! You should check out the Capistrano Lights Nightly Program hosted by the Mission San Juan Capistrano. There, you’ll admire plenty of beautifully decorated wreaths and trees twinkle in the night as festive music fills the air. Here’s everything you need to know about attending this holiday program.

Exciting things to expect

The Capistrano Lights Nightly Program is one of many holiday Orange County events, but what makes this program special is its beautiful venue. Held at the historical Mission San Juan Capistrano, the setting of this light show is breathtaking all on its own. The main attractions featured at this event include the mission itself festively decorated and wrapped in heaps of Christmas lights, a 10-foot wreath, and a giant 30-foot Christmas tree that turns on at precisely 5:00 pm, all of which provide the perfect backdrop for a Christmas photoshoot. To promote a sense of community and inspire visitors, the mission is also hosting ten Christmas trees on the grounds that are being sponsored by different San Juan Capistrano organizations! These organizations will decorate their trees in a meaningful way that promotes their goals and services to the incoming visitors. Overall, when you visit the Capistrano Lights Nightly Program, not only are you enjoying wonderful decorations, but you’re also supporting the Orange County community by popularizing important organizations that are trying to make a positive impact on its citizens.

End your night at the Mission Store

This event also features the Mission Store, a shopping experience for those who are looking for unique Christmas decorations, including nativity scenes and ornaments. The store also sells a grand variety of other items, like Mission San Juan Capistrano branded apparel, religious artifacts, books, novelty toys, specialty treats, home decor, jewelry, and much more! If you’re in the market for a couple of Christmas gifts, definitely consider stopping by the Mission Store; you never know what kind of gem you could find!
