Here Are Some Fun Orange County Events Taking Place Outdoors

Are you a lover of the outdoors, or do you have some friends who fit that description? If so, you’re in luck. We’ve got a list of some fun Orange County events that take place in the great outdoors, so soak up the sunshine with these family-friendly possibilities. Even some new four-legged friends can get in on the action.

South County Pet Expo

The South County Pet Expo will take place in Lake Forest on March the 9th. It’s a chance for you to meet many rescue animals that will be up for adoption, so open your heart to the idea of taking one of these lovable cats or dogs home with you. There will be demonstrations of pet products, local vendors with all manner of pet services and products for you to peruse, and there will also be all sorts of food trucks and special giveaways. This will be an afternoon that you and all of the pets hoping for adoption will never forget.

El Presidente Ball

If date night is your idea of a fun Orange County event, then you should take your spouse, partner, or even a friend to El Presidente Ball in San Juan Capistrano. It takes place on Saturday, March 16th, at El Adobe de Capistrano. This event, hosted by the Fiesta Association, takes place under the stars, where you will be whisked back to the late 1800s and early California. This will be a Western-style dinner and dancing with live country-western music. There will be dance lessons to give you a sense of style and grace and get you in the spirit, so be sure to dress nicely for the occasion.

Cherry Blossom Festival

The Cherry Blossom Festival is another one of the local events that is much cherished each year. On Sunday, March 17th, at the Central Park Bandstand in Huntington Beach, it will be a free day of outdoor fun for the whole family. There will be crafts and games for the kids, Japanese food, dance, and traditional music. This festival is in celebration of the more than 30-year relationship that Huntington Beach has shared with their sister city of Anjo, Japan, as there has been an active student exchange program that continues to this day.

These are some likely reasons for you to get out of the house and into the sunshine, or dancing under the light of the moon sounds just as fun. Enjoy yourself, and be sure to stop by Toyota of Orange, one of the best auto dealers near Santa Ana.
