Here Are Some Fun Things To Do Orange County

What’s going on in the OC this coming weekend? So glad you asked! There’s always plenty of fun under the sun, so if you want things to do Orange County, stick with us, as we lay out a few of our top picks for this beautiful month of April.

Spook Show Halloween Festival

In La Mirada this Saturday at the Halloween Club, it’s the 6th annual Spook Show Halloween Festival. October may be a ways off, but at this costume superstore, you’ll feel a little goulish year-round. This event features over a hundred curated local vendors, collectors, teachers, musicians, and Halloween enthusiasts of all stripes. This event is kid-friendly, but by no means is for children only. It’s intended as a celebration of all those who appreciate the macabre, so come in costume and meet your fellow Halloween-lovers. If you’re feeling like a walking skeleton, there are also plenty of food trucks to energize you.

Walk MS: Irvine 2018

Also this Saturday, it’s the 2018 MS Walk in Irvine at the Orange County Great Park. This venue hosts all sorts of events, but this Saturday it’ll gather together caring people of all shapes and sizes who want to stamp out multiple sclerosis forever. Team up with your friends, loved ones, and coworkers, and try to raise as much money as you can. It’s all going to MS research and will help us to understand and find a way to eradicate this tenacious disease.

Dachshund Races

Did you ever want to see a bunch of little weiner dogs racing against each other while proud human parents scream encouragement for them at the top of their lungs? Of course you have! What patriotic red-blooded American wouldn’t want that? Head to Huntington Beach this Sunday the 8th, and you’ll see some doggone family fun featuring the happy-go-lucky dachshund, a feisty little breed that’s low to the ground but big on spirit. This is a monthly event taking place at Old World Village, and the dogs are as into it as their human companions. Stay for lunch on the patio afterward and you’ll be sure to meet some of the contestants.

MUSE Burlesque Show

Also this Sunday, stop by the Copper Door in Santa Ana if you like your entertainment with more of an adult theme. This is more than just a burlesque show: it’s an art and burlesque experience which will feature on stage the work of a local artist. MUSE is all about giving back to the community, as well as delivering a naughty variety show that’s one part comedy, one part striptease, and fully interactive. This is the perfect idea for a night out with your posse, and they cater to all fun-loving guys and gals of every persuasion. Come for dinner and drinks, and stay for the show.

That’s it for this weekend in the OC. With so much going on, will you be wholesome or wicked, or a little of both? The choice is yours. Have fun and be safe, and we’ll be back next time with more local events you’re sure to love.
