Here Are Some Unique Orange County Events Happening This December

These holiday events are heading your way this December, so figure out which ones appeal most to you and the family and go check them out. First, let’s examine the event that’s most likely to excite the nautical-minded members of your crew.

Newport Beach Boat Parade

The Newport Beach Boat Parade takes place from the 19th through the 23rd of this month at Newport Harbor, starting at 6:30 each evening. This is the 110th edition of this favorite community event. The starting and ending point is the Tip of Lido Island, and one of the best spots to watch the boats is Marina Park. There you’ll find a picnic area, a playground, and an optimal vantage point to view the many crafts that proudly take part in the procession. Check out canoes, kayaks, yachts, and others, all decorated for the season and ready to celebrate the holidays. There are many fine dining options available close to the peer, too.

Pop-Up Holiday Market

Another fun and quirky event takes place on December 8th at The Children’s Museum of La Habra from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. This is the spot for holiday shopping, as child entrepreneurs run this pop-up market. There will be bath bombs, handcrafted jewelry, and many other specialty items for sale. The best part of hitting up this event is that all of your purchases will go toward supporting creative young people in the area. You’ll be able to get some gifts items for family and friends that are hand-crafted.

Laguna Niguel Holiday Parade

On December 8th at 10 am at the Crown Valley Parkway, experience the splendor of the Laguna Niguel Holiday Parade. There will be floats, marching bands, exotic cars, equestrian units, local heroes, military representatives, and youth groups, all joining together to celebrate the holidays. There will also be a dazzling entrance by the parade’s Grand Marshal himself, Santa Claus. Spectators are encouraged to grab one of the free shuttles and bring chairs for their convenience. This is a free event and is going to happen, rain or shine.

That’s it for this month, so don’t miss these exciting Orange County events.
