Makers Market Making Waves in Culver City

According to Niche.com Orange county is among the top 5 counties for families to live in California. It’s no wonder too, Orange county is a vibrant bustling area, full of diverse cultures. Just take a casual drive around and you see the beauty expressed through its murals. Like The Orange Street Alley in the Redlands where you’ll see hundreds of umbrellas hanging above your head. Or make your way to downtown Santa Ana and immerse yourself in the rich Latin culture, where you see tons of artwork and popup shops.  The food, the nightlife, and best of all the beaches. There’s nothing like it.

But if you are looking for some fun things to do in Orange County this weekend, somewhere where you and the whole family can spend time springtime sun while supporting your local vendors, then you have to check out the Creative Communal Makers Market, located at The Crossing Church Parking Lot.

Just west of the 55 highway past the Irvine car dealerships, you’ll find this charming array of pop-up shops and food vendors.

The Creative Communal Makers Market is back again this year bringing fun and creativity to the community. This event first made its appearance back in 2019. First starting as just a few pop-up shops run by the local moms in the neighborhood. With a vision to take a few pop-up shops and create a bigger and more unique market, the Creative Communal Makers Market was born.

This market is much like your run-of-the-mill farmers market, and or swap meet, but the holistic idea around this event is centered around creativity. At the makers market, you are surrounded by artisans and craftsmen from far and wide. Think like if you could physically walk around on your favorite page on Etsy.

What You’ll Find

If crafted bohemian style jewelry is your thing, or even homemade candles, hats, bags, or accessories, you will find it here. But there is so much more. There are also food stands and food trucks located throughout the market, and activities for the kids to enjoy. On top of all that, there are great places to just stop, relax and take a few pictures for that perfect Instagram-able moment. You can see it all on their Instagram page @creativecommunal, among the many things to do in Orange County, The Creative Communal Makers Market always aims to foster creativity and community.
