Are you looking for kid-friendly May 4th activities? Look no further than this special event at Pretend City made just for children to have fun and celebrate one of the greatest stories ever told.

About Pretend City

Located in Irvine, Pretend City is a museum made just for children. It’s specially designed to allow children the freedom to be creative, learn about important academic concepts and foster real-life skills through interactive exhibits. Here, kids will strengthen their science, reading, and math skills, as well as sharpen their critical and analytical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork. Overall, Pretend City intends to engage your children using age-appropriate tools and learning methods to help them find joy in learning and reach their greatest potential!

Pretend City’s Star Wars weekend celebration

From May 1st to May 2nd, Pretend City will be hosting a special event in honor of Star Wars for all the little Jedi of Orange County! At this event, your children can enjoy space inspired exhibits and activities, like a galaxy obstacle course designed to get kids moving, art classes featuring a special science lesson as kids use motion and magnets to design and create and meet and greets with special guests dressed like the stars of the series.

Pretend City’s goal for this Star Wars extravaganza is to help develop children’s loco-motor and gross skills as well as nurture their natural creativity and curiosity. Furthermore, they also encourage parents to have an open discussion with their kids about the important themes present in the Star Wars universe, like teamwork and always doing what is moral and ethical, even in difficult situations. In combination, Orange County events such as this one are meant to foster your children’s physical and mental growth and give them an opportunity to learn some very important lessons about life.
