Be a part of Teyana Taylor’s final tour here at the legendary House of Blues! Teyana’s ability to move with precision and poise in everything she does is part of what sets her apart from the crowd. Every idea is a project, from the studio to the stage, with the singer front and center with her vision. Teyana knows that her mission is larger than life, with musical influences such as Aaliyah, Teena Marie, Mint Condition, and Janet Jackson speaking to her soul.
The Surfrajettes at Campus JAX (Sat, Aug 7, 2022 at 5 pm)
The Surfrajettes are an instrumental four-piece band from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Since their formation in late 2015, the band has wowed audiences with their clever blend of psychedelic rock and reverb-drenched surf music and their sky-high beehives, go-go boots, and eyeliner as well – just as thick as their guitar strings. JAX is a supper club, so an entree is required. Menu items start at $10. There are no drink minimums. Feed The Need, Campus JAX’s outreach to feed the local homeless population receives a portion of the cover charge.
Don’t Tell Comedy Orange County Show in Costa Mesa (Fri, Aug 19, 2022, at 8:00 – 9:30 PM)
Love a laugh but also a good surprise? Then this is just the show for you! Until they take the stage, all comedians are unknown. Every lineup is hand-picked to include the best local and national touring talent. You might meet your new favorite comedian or recognize a familiar face. You never know who will appear for this unforgettable event! How’s that for things to do in Orange County this month?
Free Miniature Train Rides at Fairview Park (Sat, August 20 & Sun Aug 21, 2022)
Kids can get a free train ride on the 3rd weekend of each month. All Children must be able to walk and be at least 31′′ tall to ride the trains. A typical trip lasts approximately 12 minutes and includes two park loops. Please keep in mind that this event is subject to cancellation in the event of bad weather.
