These Things To Do In Orange County This Month Are Suitable For Kids

Are you and your kids feeling cooped up and bored this winter? There’s no need to be that way when you live in a part of the country where the weather is gorgeous year-round. Here are some family-friendly things to do in Orange County in February.

Open Studio Maker Session

The Open Studio Maker Session is happening on February the 2nd, and kids are sure to find it delightful. In Santa Ana at the Child Creativity Lab, this is a chance for a structured playdate, a two-hour event where kids can work on their critical thinking and problem-solving skills in a way that is fun and entertaining.

There will be a ReUse depot that teaches kids about the importance of recycling, and staff will be there to provide expertise and suggestions. Parents will need to assist if some of the tools, like the hot glue guns, are in use.

Irvine Park Railroad Anniversary Celebration

The Irvine Park Railroad Anniversary Celebration takes place on February 23rd and 24th this year. The Irvine Park Railroad has delighted guests since 1996, and every year there is a celebration in honor of its creation.

The train will be rolling rides back to the original price for two days only, making it only $2. If you have any little ones who are obsessed with trains (or if you love them yourself), then this deal is too good to miss. There will also be all kinds of other great deals happening, including a $2 price for cotton candy, hot dogs, popcorn, ice cream, and sodas. It’s only $2 for the bounce house, and there’s panning for gold and face painting as well. There are also free giveaways, including Irvine Park Railroad balloons.

South County Pet Expo and Dog-a-Palooza

In Lake Forest this February, the South Park Pet Expo and Dog-a-Palooza will give pet lovers a chance to strut their stuff along with their four-legged friends.

Taking place in Lake Forest, the 26th through the 28th of the month, each day will begin with a blessing of the animals by the Mount of Olives Church-Mission Viejo. There will also be rescue groups in attendance with animals for adoption, so go there ready to make a new friend. There will also be local vendors with all kinds of pet services and products about which they’ll be eager to inform you.

That’s going to do it for this month, but be sure to stop by next time for a new list of activities. This article comes to you from Toyota of Orange, bringing you the best selection of used cars serving Santa Ana.
