This December in the OC many favorite events are happening that will close out the year, and they’re sure to put a smile on your face and your kids’ faces as well. These are some the activities that we highly recommend.
A Visit with Santa
There’s more than one place to find Santa this holiday season, but one of the best meet-and-greets takes place at the Pretend City Children’s Museum. You’ll get your chance on the mornings of the 12th and the 21st. Your kids can sit on Jolly Old Saint Nick’s lap, tell him what’s on their list, and get a photo taken. There will also be a fantastic Christmas light display and some caroling.
You can also find the big guy hanging out at Pelican Hill Resort, Fri-Sundays up till December 23rd. Santa will be in the Great Room Social Lounge, and your kids can enjoy a warming cup of tea with him, as well as many savory Christmas delicacies. For the parents, there will also be sparkling wines and tea-based cocktails a la carte.
Also at Pelican Hill Resort, Fri-Sundays up till the 23rd of this month, there will be a Kris Kringle Storytime Mingle in the Main Estate Lobby. Santa will be reading classic holiday stories to the kids, and there will also be chances for photo ops. Storytimes are at 3, 4, and 5 pm, and there will also be a gingerbread display that must be seen to be believed.
Downtown Disney is also getting in on the holidays with a chance to see Santa at the Catal Restaurant every day up till the 23rd of December. From 8 am till noon, there will be a decadent family-style feast that includes farm-fresh eggs, crispy bacon, buttermilk pancakes, and a whole lot more. The adults can enjoy bottomless mimosas while it’s cookies and hot chocolate for the kids. Every child who attends gets a Build-a-Bear teddy from Santa and his elves.
With so many Santa sightings around town, you’re sure to have an opportunity to track the big guy down this year.
