Find Drive-In Orange County Events Near You

On February 14th, 2021, Anaheim Town Square is hosting an outside screening of the 1997 film, Selena. This musical drama tells the story of real-life music star Selena Quintanilla-Pérez. The film is two hours and eight minutes long and rated PG with some adult themes. If you’re looking for Orange County events on Valentine’s Day, then this may be the perfect date for you!

The drive-in movie will be located near the Pic ‘N’ Save Bargains and Wells Fargo, conveniently next to many local restaurants. Order take out to eat in your car as you enjoy the screening of Selena! The event staff will observe COVID-19 safety guidelines and will ensure that all drive-in guests are doing the same.

If you are interested in this event, then be sure to reserve your parking spot on the Eventbrite page. Tickets are $10 per vehicle and will be donated to the Illumination Foundation, a non-profit that provides interdisciplinary services to homeless children and adults. When you buy your ticket, be sure to match the name to your driver’s license so as to make check-in easier. Drive-in guests are asked to arrive between 4:30 and 5:15 pm. Any late arrivals may have their tickets surrendered to waiting guests without tickets.

Parking spots are given on a first-come, first-served basis. Orange County events staff will direct you to the next available space, depending on the size of your car. Larger trucks will be placed in the back or sides of the lot. If you are planning on watching the screening from your trunk, then you may want to arrive early to get an appropriate spot. Space will be limited.

Prior to the event, a final email will be sent out to confirm guest attendance. Please keep an eye out for this email and follow the instructions to complete your reservation. Here are some general Q & A’s for the event:

Q: Can guests bring their own food?

A: Yes! There is an assortment of take-out options in the area, including Panda Wok, Waba Grill, and Applebee’s. There won’t be any food provided at the event itself, so feel to bring some snacks to enjoy.

Q: What are the safety guidelines for the event?

A: According to the state of California, people must maintain at least 6 feet of distance between themselves and people of other households. Always wear a mask when you are outside of your own vehicle and limit contact between others.

Q: How do I check-in?

A: There will be a safe, no-contact check-in station at the entrance of the parking lot. Simply pause at the station and hold up your ID to your window. Guests can start check-in as early as 4:30 pm and must arrive before 5:15 pm in order to keep their reservation. The movie will begin just after sunset.

Q: Will there be restrooms?

A: Yes, the event will provide designated restrooms for guests. Please make sure to keep a mask on when you leave your vehicle. Our event staff will guide you to the right area. All restrooms will be monitored and cleaned by a housekeeping attendant.

Enjoy your Valentine’s Day night with this drive-in movie and visit a Toyota dealer near Tustin for your car-buying needs!
