The Annual Irvine Pumpkin Patch For Halloween In 2020

Even though picking up your pumpkin from the grocery store may seem more accessible, the authentic fall experience is still available to you! Fortunately, there are still many places to go and things to do in Orange County even amid coronavirus social distancing regulations. 

Starting September 19th and running through October 31st, the annual Irvine Pumpkin Patch will take place. The Irvine Park Railroad will be transformed into a Halloween fun zone with games and activities for the whole family to enjoy. This popular event draws visitors from all over Southern California. Thankfully the virus has only changed – not closed- your favorite pumpkin patch, meaning there are still plenty of things to do in Orange County to celebrate the season! 

Here are all the details about what you can expect to find this year.

Hours:

Weekdays 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Weekends 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Park Entrance Fee:

Weekdays $3.00 per vehicle

Weekends $5.00 per vehicle

Holidays $7.00 per vehicle

Pumpkin Patch Fees:

The entrance to the Pumpkin Patch is free.

Activity tickets are $6.00 each or purchase a book of 15 tickets for $75.00 ($15.00 savings)

Free Activities: 

Hay Maze: A fun and thrilling maze for Adults for and children to enjoy. You can enter as many times as you like all for free. 

Haunted House: A Haunted House will be offered at the venue that brings a scary but not too scary experience for adults and younger children to enjoy the Halloween thrills equally. 

Paid Pumpkin Patch Activities:

Cookie Decorating: With one ticket, your child can decorate their own sugar cookie by choosing from a variety of frostings and toppings to transform their cookie into a delicious masterpiece. 

Pan for Gold: Irvine Park offers a mining area that will allow children to pan for their own gold. Or is it fools gold? No matter what, the sparkling site of gold will excite kids of all ages, and they can take home their treasure. Gold panning is two tickets per person. 

Hay Rides: The venue is offering hayrides pulled by big green tractors. The trailer holds bales of hay to provide seating while you enjoy the views of the park. This is a great experience for children and families. Hayrides are one ticket per person, and children 12 months and under are free. 

Train Rides: Hop aboard the Irvine Park ⅓ scale train for a ride through the historic Regional Park. Passengers will enjoy views of the lake and could even come across the resident peacocks. Train rides are one ticket per person, children 12 months and younger are free. 

Pumpkin Patch: Embrace the Halloween spirit by purchasing the perfect pumpkin with hundreds of pumpkins to pick from at the Irvine Park Pumpkin Patch. The cost of each pumpkin varies based on the type and size.

  • Cookie Decorating, Hay Ride, and Train Ride: 1 Ticket (per person)
