Try Healthy Take Out for Things to Do in Orange County

If you are one of the many who are trying to have a healthier lifestyle in the new year, then you know that it can be tough to maintain new year’s resolutions. Whether you feel junk food cravings or want the convenience of fast food, it can be difficult to stay on the path to healthy eating. Fortunately, there are many healthy things to do in Orange County that will help you through the first few months of your new lifestyle.

Orange County has tons of healthy eateries that can help you be good without sacrificing taste. Plus, many of these places are now offering outdoor-dining and take-out options for your convenience and enjoyment. Laguna Beach, in particular, has a ton of health-conscious cafes, markets, and restaurants for locals to enjoy. Here are some of our favorite take-out options when you’re looking for healthy things to do in Orange County

Named after the green olives found in the Mediterranean region, Zéytoon offers fresh salads, vegetarian wraps, flatbread, paninis, and a delicious mezza sampler. Whether you want a flavorful snack or a light meal, this is the perfect place to follow a Mediterranean Diet. Zéytoon Café promises fresh, quality ingredients in a home-cooked style that is sure to satisfy your tummy and your heart.

While recently becoming one of the most trendy eateries in California, Urth Caffé remains a solid option for health-conscious customers. The owners, Shallom and Hilla Berkman, started their business simply making tea and coffee. However, they gained quite a following when they started serving dishes with natural, locally sourced produce. Try their egg white and spinach panini breakfast and fresh juice bar! You won’t regret it.

If you are feeling fatigued with the same health-food menus, then you may want to step out of your comfort zone with Starfish Laguna. This restaurant serves Asian-fusion dishes with vegetarian and pescatarian options. Try their savory Sichuan Japanese Eggplant, Singapore Bamboo Roll, Lobster Macadamia Roll, or Chilean Seabass with Thai Green Curry. Their menu is full of surprisingly delicious entrées. If you want to get the full experience, then make sure to order their wok-fried edamame! It’s full of protein and flavor with garlic, togarashi, and sesame seasoning!

Need a vegan option? Look no further! The Stand has 100% vegan dishes and natural ingredients. You can choose from acai bowls, dips, non-dairy soft serve, and sandwiches. We recommend their avocado sandwich for a satisfying meal. Plus, their bean, rice, and guacamole dip is great if you’re craving Mexican food. The Stand was established in 1970 and retains some of that groovy vibe, which customers can’t get enough of!

If you’re looking for a healthy snack but don’t want to go to a traditional restaurant, then consider Zinc Café & Market. They are open every day from 7 am to 4 pm, offering an all-vegetarian menu and a gourmet to-go section. Their menu includes baked goods, eggs, bowls, soups, and salads. The market also sells specialty goods from local craftsmen.

Head down to Laguna Beach for your healthy eating! Plus, while you’re in the area, you can check out Tustin car dealerships for new and used cars.
