Why Visiting Tomorrowland Is One of the Best Things To Do in Orange County

Going to Disneyland, you’ll find no shortage of things to do in Orange County, but, if you really want to go to the true passion project area that inspired the company’s founder Walt Disney, the futuristic scene of Disneyland is where you’ll want to be. The amount of love that Walt had for the age of tomorrow was famous when it came to designing his theme parks. So let’s take a look at what this specific area of Disneyland has to offer.

Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters

Few things speak of future fantasy than the world of Buzz Lightyear and his famous adventures. To immerse yourself and your children fully into such a world, consider taking a trip through the Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters ride. It’s not a conventionally styled ride, but more of a mix in a dark-themed ride mixed with a gallery shooter, but with aliens and lasers where you try to get the highest score possible. With absolutely no pun intended, it’s a blast for the kids to enjoy, and even the young adults will enjoy it if turned into a competition amongst friends.

Star Tours: The Adventure Continues

If you’re looking for yet another unconventional ride, Star Tours: The Adventure Continues will be perfect for you. It features a star wars journey that acts as a 3D simulator, going on an immersive space ride that features some of your favorite star wars characters across multiple generations. This ride even features seats that get you further immersed into the presentation, getting you into the feel of what is actually happening before your eyes.

Space Mountain

If there were ever a ride that epitomized both Tomorrowland as well as being one of the most iconic rides in Disney theme park history, Space Mountain is definitely in contention for both of these titles. There’s a reason why this ride’s lines stretch quite long, and the experience of going through an adrenaline-pumping ride without being able to see in front of yourself might have something to do with that. Throw in another Star Wars theme in there, and you have yourself a winner of a classic given a new fresh coat of paint.

Attractions and Film

After having your fill of rides, consider viewing an eye full of behind-the-scenes work that was conducted for the filming of Star Wars at the Star Wars Launch Bay. Here you can further immerse yourself and your family in everything Star Wars, and not too far is a film you can watch called Path of the Jedi, where you can see the fall and then rise of the Jedi in Star Wars lore.

Food

When you’re done with the attractions and the rides, have a pit stop at either the Alien Pizza Planet or the Galactic Grill to get a wide variety of cuisines. Foods are under a $15 price limit if you’re looking for something quick and easy to eat. You can have a wide selection of pizza, pasta, burgers, french toast, and burritos to choose from, so you’ll have plenty of options at your disposal.

Conclusion

Tomorrowland has quite a bit to offer in terms of futuristic themes and attractions, especially if you’re a big fan of Star Wars. The best part about all of these rides and attractions is that this is only a fraction of what is available to you should you pay Tomorrowland a visit, and there’s much more to offer should you feel a need for things to do that are adventurous.
