Love American Food? These OC Restaurants Are the Place to Be!

Sometimes the best Orange County events aren’t necessarily the ones that are organized. Sometimes, just going out to a quality restaurant is enough to have a splendid time with the whole family! Luckily for you, Orange County boasts a wide variety of classic American cuisine restaurants. Here are just a few of them:

Bosscat Kitchen (Irvine & Orange)

Since 2014, American comfort food with a Southern flair, a wide selection of domestic and imported whiskeys, and a variety of regionally produced tap and bottled beers have all been served to guests here at Bosscat Kitchen. Over 100 specialty aged whiskeys, bourbons, and scotches from various countries are available here. Excellent craft signature drinks made with premium spirits. Bosscat Kitchen also has a unique and cozy whiskey tasting room where you can try a selection of whiskeys.

“Amazing experience. Had dinner and drinks after a show and this place did not disappoint. Pulled pork fritters are a must, but really we enjoyed everything.” – Keryn B., Burbank

Mama’s On 39 (Huntington Beach)

Every day, fantastic breakfast, lunch, and dinner are available “anytime” here at Mama’s. This restaurant has rightfully developed into a Huntington Beach “local” hangout since 2011. The business owner, who resides in HB, strongly supports all things positive in the neighborhood.

“Great recommendations, food is awesome and always a good time. Kathryn was a great server. My entire party had an awesome time. She went above and beyond her job and was super helpful.” – Pierce F., Irvine

Reunion Kitchen + Drunk (Anaheim)

Reunion Kitchen + Drink has been inviting visitors to “Relax, Reminisce, Reconnect” since 2013. They firmly believe that creating a space that emphasizes social interaction with food and drink rather than just the food is important. It serves as a spot to unwind and enjoy other people’s company and a location where you can disconnect from the “always on” world and converse with the person across the table.

“The food here is SOOOOO good and so affordable for the quality you get. The blueberry breeze…. DELICIOUS and had just the right amount of vodka. The warm butter cake and the bruschetta were my favs.” – Delaney S., Chino.

American Grub (Tustin)

The name says it all! The best savory burgers, sandwiches, salads, addictive fries, wines, and more have been available at this hotspot since 2016. The idea behind American Grub was to open a family-friendly eatery in the center of Old Town Tustin that would celebrate the mouthwatering burgers and sandwiches the staff had been serving for years at The Swinging Door Saloon in Tustin and The Salty Dawg Tavern in Orange.

“Wanted a good burger and ordered the Jalapeño Cheddar on a brioche bun, and it was out of this world good! I should have taken a picture, but it was gone before I knew it. The French Fries were hot and crispy. I got a very small serving of potato salad, which was creamy. The service was as outstanding as our meal. We dined outdoors; it made for a lovely dining experience.” – Angie S., Los Angeles.

Ojai Burger (Orange)

Ojai Burger is a new eatery that just opened this summer! On a visit to Yume Japanese Burger Cafe in Ojai, California, fell in love with the idea of a Japanese burger and was inspired to work with the husband-and-wife team Takeshi and Chikage Ozaki to develop Ojai Burger. The staff is extremely excited for you to try our selection of Japanese-inspired wagyu burgers, chicken sandwiches, mochi waffles, and shakes — all made from scratch, using only the finest ingredients. We chose Orange, CA, for our first location because of its charm (which reminded us very much of Ojai).

“Literally incredible. I got the grilled chicken burger, and the teriyaki Waygu burger, and they were both 10/10. I also got cookies and cream shakes and fries with all the sauces. It made me so happy.” – David C., Chatsworth.
