Rotating tires isn’t always something we happen to think about. It could be something that gets forgotten although its something that should be done occasionally. Tustin Toyota service recommends that tires get rotated either every 4,000 to 6,000 miles or every six months. Of course, every vehicle is different so if you aren’t sure about how long you should go before getting your tires rotated, your owner’s manual will tell you the most accurate recommendation.
Why is it recommended to rotate my tires?
The reason we move tires around is to even the amount of wear on the tires. Depending on the kind of vehicle that you drive, tires in certain locations wear quicker than other tires. Giving them a chance to wear out evenly can extend the time before they need to be changed. Another big thing to watch for is tire vibration while you are driving over 45 mph. This isn’t the only reason tires vibrate but a tire imbalance is a very common cause.
